  • 36 sc stitches for the seventh round
  • 36 sc stitches for the eighth and ninth rounds
  • 36 sc stitches for the tenth round
  • 36 sc stitches for the eleventh round
  • 36 sc stitches for the twelfth round
  • 36 sc stitches for the thirteenth round
  • 36 sc stitches for the fourteenth and fifteenth rounds
  • 36 sc stitches for the sixteenth round

Bottom

  • 1 ring gold yarn for forming the bottom
  • 5 sc stitches in adjustable ring for bottom

Whipped Cream

  • 1 ring white yarn for forming whipped cream
  • 4 sc stitches in each stitch around

Strawberry

  • 3 pieces red yarn for making strawberries
  • 5 sc stitches in adjustable ring for strawberry

Instructions
 

Making the Sponge Cake

  • Form an adjustable ring with gold yarn and start with 6 sc in the ring.
  • Increase the stitches in each round for the desired shape.
  • Continue until the appropriate size is achieved.
  • Fasten off and move onto the bottom section.

Making the Bottom

  • Use gold yarn and follow the same initial steps as the sponge cake.
  • Do not fasten off after completing round 5.

Assembling the Cake

  • Attach the bottom to the sponge cake by working through both thicknesses.
  • Stuff with filling before closing.

Making the Whipped Cream

  • Use white yarn to create an adjustable ring and follow the first four rounds of the sponge cake.
  • Ch 5, sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across.

Making the Strawberries

  • Make 3 strawberries using red yarn and form an adjustable ring.
  • Stuff lightly before gluing atop the cake.

Notes

Ensure to stuff the sponge cake moderately before sealing it completely.
