Ingredients
  

Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs separated
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup strawberries pureed

Frosting

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Cake Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour cake pans.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks, then add oil, vanilla, water, and strawberry puree.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  • In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold egg whites into the batter.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25 minutes.

Frosting Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  • Beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Spread frosting between layers and on top of the cake.
