Mascarpone Apple Crumble Torta

Ingredients
- 3 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with cinnamon and granulated sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter and vanilla extract, and mix until crumbly.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the crumb mixture, then add the apple mixture, followed by the mascarpone cheese. Top with the remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This dessert pairs well with vanilla ice cream. For added flavor, you can include nuts in the crumble mixture.
