Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 orange zest
  • 1 orange juice
  • pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the cranberries under cold water.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  • Add the cranberries to the boiling mixture.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally, allowing the cranberries to burst.
  • Add the cinnamon, orange zest, and juice.
  • Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to thicken.
  • Transfer the sauce to a serving dish and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

This cranberry sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until serving.
